Fiona Boyes

Fiona Boyes, Australia’s most successful and celebrated international blues artist, is pleased to announce that she will be joined by award winning New Orleans musician, Johnny Sansone, for a November 2018 Australian tour, backed by Fiona’s band members Tim Neal on piano, Hammond B3, bass, and sax, and Mark Grunden on drums and percussion. 

Johnny Sansone has been a fixture in the New Orleans music scene since 1990. He is a regular member of the Voice of the Wetlands All-Stars, a super group made up of New Orleans musical royalty, including Dr John, Tab Benoit, Cyril Neville, Big Chief Monk Boudreaux, Anders Osborne, George Porter Jnr, and Waylon Thibodeaux. An acclaimed harmonica player, he is a twelve time winner of New Orleans Off Beat music awards for Best Harmonica, Best Artist, Best Album, and Best Band. Sansone also won the 2012 USA Blues Music Award for Song of the Year, and was nominated for a Grammy in 2001.  Read more...
